Red Barn Farm

We went to the Red Barn Farm in Weston, MO on Saturday with some friends.  I am so glad we discovered this place, it was perfect for the kids.  Gwyneth got to pick apples, feed chickens and goats, and ride a pony.  I can't wait to go back in October to pick our pumpkin!

Everyone's Favorite Toy

We recently got an iPad and I think it is safe to say it's the favorite toy in this house right now...for children of all ages.

Kool-Aid Play Dough..."Oh Yeah"

After story time yesterday we met Daddy for lunch.  Gwynnie was such a good girl all morning so I told her I would make her play dough during her nap.  Little did I know that homemade play dough recipes call for cream of tartar, which of course I don't have.  I looked around the internet and came across a Kool-Aid play dough recipe.  It was perfect since I had one packet of Kool-Aid in our pantry!  The play dough was a hit and Gwynnie has already informed me that I need to go to the store to get more Kool-Aid so she can have "pink and green and purple and red......."

A Little Behind

I have been a bit behind in putting together Fletcher's monthly photos, but I have finally gotten caught up.  It's so amazing to see how much this little man has changed over the past 7 months.  I love him more and more each passing day!

Rembrandt? Maybe Not.

Since the sticker potty chart worked so well with Gwyneth we decided to continue with a "poop" only chart.  I am happy to say it worked and Gwyneth successfully filled her chart with stickers.  To celebrate her achievement, I let her pick out a toy of her choice and she chose finger paint.  The excitement and pure joy in her eyes when she walked into the den after her nap to a table set up for painting was well worth the mess that ensued.

Grandmama and Granddaddy Raymond

My parents just recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary!  We were lucky enough to have them visit this past weekend as they were passing through on their way to Colorado Springs to help move Heather in to her new place.  The last time they saw Fletcher he was just a month old!

We can't wait for them to visit again in a month as they head back to Alabama!
